at the moment he has 2/3 people riding/looking after him a week at our yard (so my little sis doesnt really ride him any more) but as these people are shareres, we still have to order feed, get hay down, make sure not too many bales of shavings are used, nag peole to clean tack etc, and of course, we still pay the bulk of it. also it means he doesnt go pc/shows. so should we let him go else where on full loan. the only reason we kept him at our yard when my sis outgrew him is that he is smitten with 1 of our other horses.
