Hi everyone.Just a question, does anyone use shoulder support to keep your shoulders back? I've got a big problem trying to walk/sit/ride straight,im always look more like cat on the fence, always slouching, and no matter how hard i try,i keep forgetting about it and slouching again. So the question is,will shoulder brace tipe thingy will help? Can you ride in them? If yes, which ones are the best? I thought just to try and use elasticated bandage over shoulders and kriss kross on the back,to see how it feels. Any thoughts or recommendations are welcome. Thanks.:D

I had the sportabac one some time ago, I think it's probably a bit tight these days (and is afaik in the depths of a cupboard!) I think I used it a little for riding and for some day to day stuff and it did sort of help.. kind of acts as a gentle reminder on your posture but am not sure it made me any less stiff neck/shoulder wise.

Old skool approach - my sister had hours of lunge lessons with a broom handle threaded through the sleeves of her jumper. She hated it, but she definitely sits up straighter on a horse than I do!

I have the shoulders back support, and it does work in literally keeping my shoulders back. The main problem is I always forget to wear it!

I also wear mine to work, as I am very lazy with my posture. I find that my shoulders and arms ache after a while, and I can only wear it for a couple of hours.

Also you have to wear it over the top of something as it rubs, so it isn't ideal for summer, as it's too hot. You obviously want something underneath it and then also something on top!

This is the one I have: http://www.shouldersback.co.uk/

I think its a bit pricey, especially since I never wear mine...must dig it out!

Thats the one a saw! It says it was developed for horseriders to keep their back straight.Bit too pricey for me,but is it actually work? They do lighter version of it i know. Does it have a soft back?Or like support belts with those hard ribs?

No it doesn't have ribs, it is just very thick lycra, so not very stretchy.

It takes a bit of adjustment when you first fit it, but my riding position is much better when I wear it, I don't why I haven't been wearing it! So lazy!

I found riding in it easy, I didn't notice it, however I do notice it when I'm sat at work and it annoys me.

If you shop around a bit you might find one cheaper.
