shoulders getting rubbed

not sure if this should be in stable yard but anyhow....

my tb type mare has got rub marks on her shoulders that seem to be getting worse all the hair is rubbed away. She had a rambo duo which looked a good fit and the rubs started so i changed her to her viking turnout which she's had years and its not helping either. Can anyone recommend anything ? I was thinking maybe some kind of vest?

Bibs are v good. I also sew some fleecey material into the shoulders for extra protection

Put the Rambo Duo back on again!!!! Merlin is out 24/7 in his and has worn it since October, he has no hair rubbing at all

Last year he had a shires and bald shoulders, and he was only out for a few hours a day!!

I'm with the others - BOSSY'S BIBS - you can buy seconds somethimes for about a tenner. They are usually bibs that have been tried on but returned cos they don't fit. Other cheaper way is to sew a piece of silk into your rug - I've done that with a couple of rugs recently.
