I am taking a friend's little boy to a local show this weekend with my little 12hh pony for a couple of classes including lead rein pony, just to have a bit of fun. I have all the correct show clothes to lead him in, but this is the 5 year old first show and what would be deemed acceptable for him to wear? He has some cream jods and small riding boots but we were hoping he could get away with white polo t shirt under a black top as obviously don't want to go out and spend a fortune! Lead rein classes are new to me too!

If its local I'm sure that's don't, you could phone the secretary to check.

Once you go higher, tweed jacket, shirt and tie for m&m type pony, with plain tack. navy jacket, shirt and tie for show pony type, with coloured browband.

That'd be absolutley fine local level or could maybe buy a shirt from tesco back to school range or whatever. i think you can get a pack of three for about a fiver or something, and then rather than having a huge chunky tie a slim mans or similar? Then if cold the jumper on top, would look very smart! :)
