For you people who show horses and ponies in show browbands how much would you happily pay out for one and what do you go for i.e designs/colours/etc

Very bright, with blingy bits in... Al does the occasional RoR thing with Reg and the browband is bright red, with gold edging to the ribbon. The rosettes are huge, and have glass/ diamond-type beads in the centre. It's horrifying, but fits in pretty well :D

We spent £25 I think, but the proper posh ones can be £80+!!

For showing it would depend on the level. If only local every now and again I wouldn't want to break the bank for one. If I was planning to qualify for something or go to county I'd happily spend up to £50, but for this I'd expect exactly what I want. The colour/style would totally depend on my horse and which classes I entered.

A lady up near me does fabulous browbands. The owner of my old share horse got one from her which was beautiful and was about £35

Mine was £40 and is red, white and navy with the white ribbon tinged with gold and the rosettes have diamontes on them. Mine is a Cornerstine one - they sell a lot on ebay and are fab browbands. This one has lasted 3 horses and 4 years so far and still looks as good as new.
