When I called up last night for my dressage time (Novice Trailblazers qualifier), I was told that the show had been cancelled because I was 1/2 of the entered field! I pointed out that that meant I was guaranteed of 2nd place, but she did not see the funny side.

This was a Trailblazers qualifier!
 
Could they not have phoned you before you phoned them for times??? Two people to ring isn't going to take all night is it! Oh dear....
 
Oh poor you, you're not having a great deal of luck with shows at the moment, are you?

They did not answer the phone 2 nights before the show (when they are supposed to give out the times) and I had to pester them 3 times the day before it to finally get the news that it was cancelled.

The other reason I wanted to go there for dressage this week was they have SJ there next week and I wanted to scout the place out and let Charlie see it.
 
Went SJ'ing at my yard tonight instead. Had minor disagreement with collecting ring steward over clothing, but happy with outcome. Fine in collecting ring (his 1st time in a proper 1), out of control idiot in arena (as expected, but less out of control than he could have been), settled immediately we left the arena and popped 7 XC fences (bigger and scarier) without batting an eyelid.
