I am getting sooo cross about this!!! We have a sp that has a very light frame, we show him at bsps and get told he hasnt got enough weight on?

He is competing in childrens riding pony classes and is excatly that he show jumps does dressage goes to pony club hacks with his jockey on. He is schooled by his show jockey.

We keep him FIT not FAT but he is still considered to not have enough weight on. He has good muscle tone as he is made to work properly most of the time using his back etc. Would theses so called experts like to see this pony feed up to the eye balls crippled with lami???

It really to me seems this way. BSPS vet your panel judges they are promoting cruelity to theses animals

Write a letter to them and formally address your concerns, someone once told me that "revolution comes from without - change comes from within" you have to get inside the organisation to change something, it's not actually going to do much just shouting about it from outside.

FWIW I completely agree with you :)

That's showing for you... if I was you I'd start another horsey discipline that doesn't base it's results on the width of your browband or the fatness of your pony ;0)

Talking of which, did anyone see the side saddle demo on Countryfile last night? One of the bay horses in particular was very porky!
