Horse has managed to get in a squabble with another horse resulting in quite afew small cuts and bits of hair missing! Offending companion has been removed but he is meant to be showing this weekend,is there a way to disguise these marks for the ring?
Also I am a little worried about taking him as he dropped alot of weight in winter resulting in him needing a few months off work. He is just coming back into proper work and is looking good but a little undermuscled and angular. Would you take a horse to a local show that wasn't 100% condioned? He is healthy and bright, just angular! Every horse at the show normally is a little on the heavy side and I'm worried I will stick out even more than normal (I have an Arab in an Arab slip, not common at all
)
And finally, last time i showed everyone was in a pelham.
I have never rode with double reins, has anyone got any tips to help me learn?
He does go well in a snaffle (well, still head in the air but we are getting there!) shall I just stick to that? Double reins do look smarter though...
Oh and finally, where do I get a cheap tie pin!?
