Can anyone help me with this?
I’m going to a pony club show next weekend and I was wondering if I had to have a numnah or could I use my dressage saddle pad or just a half pad?
Thanks

Ideally try to find a numnah which is shaped to the saddle as dressage saddle pads only really for dressage. The judge wants to see your pony not the pad. If you can't find or borrow one then just go with what you have.

Her type is important but so is the class which is kind of what was being asked, are you just jumping for instance or are you doing actual show classes? If you're doing "Pony Club Pony" for example, it's showing, but very different to actual breed showing, and as long as you're clean and tidy etc most tack would be acceptable. It's a little stricter for breed showing, though not too bad for smaller shows (very little would be unacceptable but the judges would prefer straight cut saddles with long girths, plain showing bridles etc). Breed showing would include breeds and types, so classes for, say, Welsh ponies and/or cobs, but also "traditional cob" which yours might fit into.
