Is there a correct dress for the groom of a show hunter at a County (minor) show. I am helping a friend out and dont want to look too out of place - or let her down!
Ideally, smart dress which (assuming the weather is normal (ish)) would be shirt and tie, clean trousers, jacket and hat. What is not acceptable are shorts, flip flops, strappy tops. However, as long as they are dressed smartly, shirt and tie could easily be replaced by a clean and tidy looking jumper.

or a smartish blouse.
No wedding hats though lol, a beagler or cowboystyle hat ( i honestly cant remember the name of them) are the most commonly seen ones, you do see the occasional baseball cap as well but i personaly hate that
So blouse (any colour) smart trousers and a beagler hat?? Ok but the mix sounds a little odd. Do I definitely have to wear a hat? I have a leather sort of cowboy hat. Spose if it rains anything will do if not too garish.....
the hat is an absolute definite! The australian bush hat type is fine. The beaglers stay on better when it is windy though! the main requirement is to be smartly and safely dressed.
