show hunter pony

Can a new forest pony (one in my sig) enter a open show hunter pony class, it says exceeding 133cm but not exceeding 142cm.....my pony is 138cm (13.2hh) would he need to be plaited up or can I show him as I would show him in mountain and moorland? as I wont have long til my m&m class?????????
ps..what makes a good show hunter pony?

In show hunter they have to be plaited .

Show hunter is basically a show pony but slightly more bone, something that will ideally take a child out on a days hunting .

I've known NF's do well as show hunter ponies, but I am afraid you will have to trim and plait (scrupulously!)

NF's often do well in the SHP classes but unfortunatley you can either do the M&M or the SHP class because SHP's have to be trimmed and plaited (all feathers and whiskers off mane plaited, tail pulled, ears stripped out), and M&M's are not supposed to be trimmed at all.
