show jacket sizes??

I'm looking for buy a tweed show jacket, second hand. I am a size 8/10 in regular clothes, what size jacket would I need? I get so confused!! Do you guys show jump with your body protesters underneath or ride without? At home I always use a body protected (This will mean the jacket must be bigger)?? P.s i am only going to compete locally, no high level - Thankyou x
 
I personally ride without, and my jacket is the same size as normal clothes. Most people wear their protectors over their jackets if wearing them at all :)

Thankyou so much :) I noticed they're not in regular measure ments, they're like 30, 32 etc? What size would a UK size 10 be do you know? X
 
Depends on the size of your bust! My daughter takes a 34" and is a very lanky 6 - 8, but fairly full chested. (And 15 - not an adult) You could pay a visit to a local tack shop and try on a few.
Some sweatshirts and some casual horse jackets print the inch size as well as the dress size on labels. You could also have a trawl through your wardrobe and see if you can find one.

Thank you, I measure a 32 around my back to be fitted for bras, so I guess we will be similar. My friend has a grey one with a link collar for sale, not sure which colour will be best however! Thankyou, I will do xx
