Any help would be much appreciated, my daughter who is nearly 13yrs needs a new show jacket for sj, problem we are finding is alot of children sizes stop at chest size 32, she needs size 34. She has tried on ladies and they are massive, looks way too long in body, sleeves and across the shoulders, what does everybody else do when their kids are inbetween sizes, we are after a nice one as hoping to bsja soon but dont want to break the bank. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Some makes do a maids size which is aimed at teenagers and smaller adults. Mrs Candy do lovely jackets but think they are mainly tweed.

Arrgghh...I have the same problem. I have a long skinny 12 yr old. She needs the arm length of the adult sizes but not the width. I'm thinking of buying the adult size 34" and taking it to be altered..

I used to teach two teenagers and we ended up getting them measured at Horse of the Year Show. We spoke to the people at Pretty Ponies and they measured them and made the jackets to fit ie longer back but shorter sleeves etc, also they had false waistcoat fronttails sewn in. They looked really good and lasted quite a while too, they were tweed jackets but I know Pretty Ponies also do show jackets. Good luck.
