does anyone know where i can get some reasonably priced ones, need some extra but to me they seem rather expensive! or perhaps i'm just out of touch with it all!

Go to Scats or similar, you can buy 12ft poles for less than £10.
Then just paint if you wish or leave natural!

You could try your local wood merchant? You'd have to paint them youself though
