Show jumper falls off, (minor blip) then horse turns on him

This is exactly what I think. One wonders if it has been "dealt with" on a previous occassion for similar behaviour and having got the rider off is getting its own back.

Seemed like a totally messed up, confused horse. Although from the short clip, the rider actually seemed nice and quiet. But who knows what had happened to it before.

I'm sorry (not watched whatever the other link is) but in the original video, subject of this post, that horse is not attacking that rider at all. I have just replayed it a few times. Would have like to have seen the round prior to the incident. However, there is clearly something wring with that horse (in it's back by the looks of things) before it is near that fence. it is not happy. It cannot make the fence due to the discomfort so (quite rightly) goes out to the side. The rider coming off is incidental but yes I think it does scare the horse a bit and it probably relates the whole thing to the pain in its back. The reaction is completely normal - the horse is trying to get rid of the cause of the pain. I am pretty sure if the rider had been out of the way, the horse would have still kicked out as it did. It's still kicking/bucking as it runs away - something is not right there!
