Can anyone recommend a good show jumping instructor, thats not too pricey and is in the Northants / Beds area?

Philp Spivey is good he's based just outside leighton Buzzard, and depening on what level you are jumping you can speak to Tim Stockdale as he's only in Roade. They are both good value for money and not horrendously expensive. Have had lessons with both, although with Tim you have to be very flexible with your lessons as he is away jumping alot of the time.

Jenny Ward iin Northampton is fantastic - I think she is registered on the BHS list or in the Approved Riding Schools

Would be interested in the answer to this one myself.

I had heard Jenny Ward is really good, but she is really hard to get in with and doesn't teach weekends. No good for me.

Not a comment about anyone specific (relates to several people actually), but I generally object to instructors you have to chase for ages to book, who don't return phone calls or who cancel at the last minute (whoever they are).

Even us lowly weekend riders are busy people too!

I need a good show jumping instructor who is reliable and with whom I can book a lesson without investing a month of my life trying!

Doesn't Jenny Ward specialise in dressage though?
You could always try Mia Korenika, based in Farndish (near Wollaston) and she is BSJA accredited. Let me know if you want contact details.

Try Belinda Neill at Lordsbridge? I'm a completely feeble jumper & I'm now doing stuff I never dreamt I'd be doing... Plus it's indoors & you get to practise over the jumps they use for comps...

What level are you wanting to jump now and in the near future?

Ive got a younseter that Id like to affiliate this year, so that sort of level really. He's competed unafilliated and the jumps and courses are no lonfer a challenge for him!

Will sort out his number for you. I didn't realise that Tim didn't teach, obviously I've been lucky that he has always had time for me but then I have had lessons with him since I was 18 (35 now you do the math). Will PM you either later today or tomorrow with Philip's number.
