You mentioned jump off - did you get placed?

Thanks, we got 3rd in the first class and had the pole down in the second class he had no chance of clearing it! bless him

I think you both look happy, but I would say I think you are perhaps a little too far forwards over the fence. Think you need to not try as hard and just fold forwards, instead of making such a big effort to go into a 'jumping position'

Your horse looks likes he lives to jump.
From those pictures it looks like you aren't giving enough with the reins which is causing him to be very short as he goes over the fences.
Try either opening your hands to allow the reins to slip through or place your hands up the neck as you go over.

Sweet horse!
You are giving with your body and not with your hands, you just need to swap that round, give less with your body and more with your hands !
