Show jumping tips please

I teach a friend on her horse, he gets a bit strong and tends to rush a bit after jumping again getting a bit strong. I trying to encourage her to sit into him a bit more to use her body as a lever , any tips on grid work i can do with her, i have her trotting to the fences which helps a lot. He is ridden in a snaffle, he is very sensitive as well. thank you.

Well, Antifaz used to be one for bombing off after a fence and my instructor made be jump and then make him halt so when he lands he's thinking about slowing down rather than bowling on. I also used to jump him from trot. Grid work will help get him balanced which will also help prevent rushing, but I don't have any good suggestions for you

What worked with my pony was walking up to a small jump (max 2ft3), and when he went up into trot without me asking, I would circle him until he walked, carry on and keep repeating until we were a few strides away, and then I would ask him to trot. Then, once you've jumped the jump come back as quickly as possible. After a while they learn to wait for you to ask them to trot into the jump. Once she can do this easily, do it with trot and canter. Worked really well with my pony, he used to be known for being speedy and strong, but now he is calm, collected and jumping double clears BSJA!
