Went to a BSJA show at Osberton this morning. Was a bit of a mixed day but Badger was fab so very pleased!!
Got their and it was raining - a lot!! So the ground was a bit slippy but had plenty of grass on so not too bad. I took Caffers in the BN first - he was in a really cheerful mood for him and he did a lovely clear.
so then it was Badgers turn, he warmed up really well, and I took him in and he went brill!! No spooking or rushing, jumped brill and didn't touch a pole!
So I went into the jump off on Badger (first to go) and he jumped brill again and got another clear!!
We don't normally manage a whole 2 rounds with no poles down.
So next was Caf and things went a bit wrong!! No. 1 was quite a big spread and I'm not really sure what went wrong but he crashed into it, nearly fell down and I fell off.
Poor thing, I think he must have slipped or something.
anyhoo - got to the end of the class and Badger was second!!
Very very pleased with him, I was going to do the Discovery with him but the rain was coming down heavy by this time so we decided to bugger off.
I'm soooo happy with Badger - he was soo careful - not sure whats changed from last week when he was a clumsy sod, I guess thats horses for ya!
