Hi,

Im currently looking for a show- jumping trainer to have every week or two within an hour of bristol. Im willing to travel to them but it would be even better if they could come to me.

The more qualified the better but I really would prefer someone who has been there done that, someone who knows what they are talking about and really inspires their students and sets goals.

Im talking steven hadley, ex international type of trainer -whos tough but at the end of the day knows his stuff which IMO makes everything easier as you KNOW hes right and everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet!!!

My horse is really talented but I need to sort out a few issues first so need someone first class really.

Any ideas please, feel free to pm me
thanks

lets hope we get some helpful suggestions from the good knowledgable H&H people of the
south west!! I wonder are there may options out there? heres hoping!!

THey are so thin on the ground round Bristol it's untrue.

I have a guy who comes to me but he really teaches for fun & I don't think he would travel. Jonathan Bowman is relatively local and it might be worth going over the bridge to Matthew Broome.

Hi siennasmum- havnt heard of jonathan bowman? tell me more- pm me if you like!

matthew broome sounds like a good idea too thanks.
I know you would think bristol would be a good area but it all just eventing or dressage unfortunately and I really need just sj- typical! lol!!
thanks

I was also going to say Broomes - only 30 - 45mins from Briz (depending which side you're on!). Girl I ride with was taught there and really rates them.

I strongly recommend two people. Jayne Smart (nee Somerton). She's based in Banwell which is N. Somerset. She teaches at home though. She no longer competes very much. She has a wealth of experience. Initially show jumping (Grade A level). Then for a new challenge had a crack at eventing and did Badminton and Burghley. She's produced lots of horses so has seen most things! She's thoughtful, great fun, interested in and supportive of her clients. Next is Ros Morgan based in over the bridge in Wales (but not far in!). She travels to teach. She's BSJA and BE accredited. She trains eg her sister Lynne Bevan. She's in huge demand for teaching because she's so good. You'll find her number in the back of the BSJA/BE rule book.
