Show Jumping Tuesday... What to wear and ways to remember course please!

Taking the neddie show jumping first time since he went lame last year, only unaffiliated but I have a really nice tweed jacket, shall I wear that? And what shirt?

Any tips for remembering the course too, I'm awful at them

Tweed jacket is fine, white shirt and tie, long boots.

Walk the course a couple of times - on your own so you're not distracted. Then watch a few horses go round.

I really struggle to remember courses. I tend to associate them with colour/type and then with which way to turn. Tends to alternate after each fence. So, it'll be 1, red, left, 2, oxer, right, etc.
Hope you enjoy yourself
