can someone please tel me how i can start off going to bigger shows than the local ones becaues my horse is getting bord of going to little shows as the jumps are only 3ft, and they are micky mouse jumps now.

Have you thought about affiliating him??.

Find out where your local BSJA show centre is and go along there. You can jump him on a ticket the first few times to see if you like it. It will cost you an extra £6 on the entry fee but is better than spending c.£130 affiliating you and you horse and then finding out it isn't for you

Reg him BSJA... you wont look back! There are so many class's and qualifiers now which encourages amatures.

our horse was exactly the same as yours, we found that the classes at local level were no where near up to height and otto almost looked like he was stepping over them and gave the impression that he couldnt really be bothered! we have affiliated him and he has done a couple of BSJA shows now and is getting on really well with it

Find some unaffiliated events which go beyond 3ft? All my usual unaffiliated shows go up to 3'6 every time.
