I quite fancy a new bridle for my paint mare. I want black with some bling in the form of a v shaped diamanté browband. I think. But I'd like to see yours to help me decide. :D

No bling bridle but I do have a rather blingy show halter :) like this one:

not particularly blingly, (I'm more of a hide in the background kind of girl) but this is my latest bargain buy!

hmm - taking this piccie reminds me I really should spend some money on curtains that fit:o

now just how the heck are we supposed to do that at this time of night:D

ahh, now take the photo in the day time rather than of what is hanging up in front of us at this moment in time ( :o) ? that would mean scraping the mud off of the swamp beast ... hmm, think the clippers need to come out first!

I have ordered one from the local tack shop that is very nice flexible buffalo leather and just as you describe for 35 pounds, I am getting brown, will post a pic and let you know the brand when I have it, she's going to look so preettyy :-)

Stupidly I assumed you might have a pic of your bling bridle in use not hanging on your curtains :p

ohh ... nooo ... I don't ride the horse, just buy things for it and keep them indoors :D:D:D

Bridle is new and alas has not yet made it to said neddys head so is hanging in a convenient place until it does - doesn't every girl keep her spare bridle on the curtain rail - perhaps I should start a new thread to ask where surplus tack should be kept?!:p

I thought it was a fancy early christmas decoration :p

Should I just buy a whole bridle from Robinsons for 36 quid I cannot decide if the browband is quite blingy enough.

I was kind of more aiming for this

But the bridle she came with is brown and horrible so I need a whole bridle. Hmmmm

Ghastly - why would you.......???
There are bridles that traditinonally shown horse off - but bling is not part of that.
I am sure thet there is a place for bling - but that needs to be invented - and maybe that is the time, when I bow out ????!!

Dressagekez bling harms no one except the boring ol fuddies who it annoys ;) ;)

Op look up bespoke browbands on facebook! Buds has two, one with gorgeous crystal rondells. She will make you anything, inc handmade v browbands with bling. Really reasonable, I have two beaded ones. They are luush!

Don't think they are quite sparkly enough to annoy Kez which will now be my mission in life

But thanks :D

The prices of some of these browbands give me palpitations!

I like a bit of sparkle, and I actually find it quite tragic that you can ONLY get sparkly browbands and nosebands :-(

Surely there must be a fully sparkle encrusted bridle out there :-D maybe Kez has one to decorate the curtains with?

Western seems to be more up on the sparkly bits and bobs. I have this set on order, although I am worried is a bit boring...

:D I think that it is fair to say that you will be noticed in that. :) Unattractive bit though, if I use a curb it has to be a nice shape.

Mandwhy, Blingy bridles, as always, my local tackstore website for you to look through:

English tack is very restrained by comparison ;)

Yeah she is a snaffle girl so I thought I'd get a custom made swarovski encrusted happy mouth :p

Think I am going for this one :D

I have one of thier beaded browbands too :)

Pink equine browband. :) I've put a plain noseband on the bridle now and it looks a lot nicer.

Gorgeous. Thats the one I am going for, it's whether I buy the whole bridle from them or just a browband. Waiting to hear if they will do it with laced reins as I don't want continental ones.

I'm a cheapskate so I just got the browband and put it on her old bridle. ;) I agree with you RE continental reins.

PS. I've had the browband ages (I got it when they first made them) and it's not lost any crystals yet. :)
