I'm in the process of updating all my hi viz stuff and have got some awesome hi viz and reflective brushing boots, and have some bridle bands on order, just looking to see what people have. and think is the most useful??

I don't have a stitch of hi-viz personally.

But...from experience, a hat band or cover, and gloves, would be on my list, particularly the hat. If you are riding in country lanes with high hedges, often the first indication a driver has that a horse is near by at all is a hat bobbing over the hedges.

I have a hatband, the horse wears riff-raff leg wraps which are being sold on eBay quite a bit at the moment, and I have the Polite waistcoat (see the Equisafety website, although there are also some on eBay).

That's what I always wear, but on darker days the horse will also have a mesh exercise sheet, and I also have Mark Todd hi viz (think they're called Luna Rider) full chaps.

I do have some leg bands too but can't find them.

I have:

Shires HW Yellow Jacket
Rockfish riders 360 reflective pink
rockfish pink hw gillet
rockfish pink tshirt
LW pink tabard
Equisafety pink HW jacket
Luna riders waistcoat
yellow tabbard
Polite yellow tabard

Yellow hiviz rug

I have a lovely Rockfish riders hi viz which is slightly less lurid since I was dumped off orange pony onto the mud but still very vibrant! we dont have to do much roadwork but I like the idea of being found in the ditch shes deposited me in on the moors!
apologies for the terrible riding pos, we'd never been through a stream before!

Martingale, hat band and quarter sheet are V-Bandz, vest is an Equisafety one and the brushing boots were actually Tesco ones, £16 for a set of four and really nice too! The gloves were from local pound shop. :D

I've just bought one of these tabards: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Equisafet...uestrian_Clothing_MJ&var=&hash=item5f774318e6

Really good as has pockets so useful in the summer when i'm not wearing a coat. Plus you can adjust the sides to fit over layers.

Did use to wear a hat band but bought a champion ventair with fixed peak and the band doesn't sit right on it - plus the reflective strip is slippy!

Horse has reflective brushing boots but i can't remember the make (legacy?). They're an ok idea but they are a bit stiff plus strike pad has ripped! I now use leg bands over normal brushing boots

My best hi-viz buy was a yellow mesh quarter sheet from the V-bandz stall at a show. I use it about 3/4 of the year and it is fantastic. :)
