I absolutely LOVE Welshies! :D They are so much fun! All of the pics on here are fab and despite having one, I am still getting horse envy!!! Here are a couple of Ozzy at Newton XC last weekend - I've not had him long but we're getting on great. He is 14.1 and quite a light build for a Welshie (but his papers are 100% sec D)...

:D :D :D :D :D :D

The first horse I owned was a section D - I was very inexperienced, and so was he as he had just turned 5 and had only ever been shown. I sold him about three years later as I wanted to event and he didnt, but I wish I could buy him again now knowing what I know now as I now want to dressage and he was fab at it :)

And the day I sold him, with the ID x TB I had bought to event...

I hope he is doing well wherever he is now, the last I heard he had been sold to a lady who wanted to do dressage with him so that would suit him perfectly :)

My ASBO earning girl - most of hte time I wanted to give her to the first person with a fiver. She loves her dressage and her jumping more than anything, but she's living the life of leisure from now on.

think I'm getting carried away wtih the photos - but I do love my ASBO girl! :D

Wow IdoShowing, what a stunner!!! Age and height??

I love D's, haven't had a pure one for years but did have a cross a couple of years ago and would definately agree they can be very strong willed!! I remember one welsh D (chestnut mare), who would always have to chuck me off the minute I got on her the first time, normally with a shoulder drop or a good hump!! After I got back on her the second time she would always be fine!! It was a real achievement the day I got on her and stayed on!!

Being 5'10" now I'm grown up I always assume I'll be too tall for most D's.

This is my rather cheeky Sec D cross (registered WPB) yearling! I'm going to have fun with him!!!!.......... (ooeeerrrr!!!) the laidback chestnut in the clip is a warmblood yearling!

And please don't worry about the dog, she was more interested in wanting to keep her stick than of him!!

That is one of my favourite videos EVER!! How cool!!

Gutted, just too small for me!!! She doesn't happen to have a taller younger brother that also has that stunning trot...???

mine are in my signature. they are both section D's. both of them a bit knackered. old one is semi-retired, just hacks and does the occasional veteran class. young one has just had surgery on his stifle and is on box rest. they're both very versatile, but their personalities are like chalk and cheese. i love Welshies though. Ended up with the first one by accident, but now on a yard with loads of them and adore them. def think they are marmite horses though.

This is my Baby boy Denny (Owfen Toffee Crumble) reg.D. last year as a 4 yr old.

And this is Gwyllmn ( Danny gayer bach gen caun) who at the time was a 14.2hh section D stallion 13yrs. he is now with his new mum down south and wins lots now he is 16yrs.

Gwyl was a special horse who never behaved like a stallion unless in the showring. Both of my boys are fabulous and will try whatever you ask of them. maybe thats because they were both mis-treated before i bought them!!
There will always be room in my stables for a section D :O)

Not at all!

I'm 5ft 7, my boy is about 15.2hh and could carry someone of your height easily!

I used to ride longer but have found a few holes shorter made me feel a lot more secure :p

Eeeeek i've gone a bit overboard there! Sorry- I absolutely LOVE my Welsh Cob to bits :D

i put the details in the comp rider forum. he has damaged his cruciate. his ridden career may well be over. :(

Oh star I am SO SORRY...it was so nice hearing someone else's tails of BD with a welshie. I do have rather a soft spot for both your boys.

I don't venture into comp riders all that often so thats probably how I missed it.

oooh yes sydney is lovely! :) :)

hmm marmite..... in that case I used to like marmite am changing my mind, someone suggested a nice warmblood at the weekend ;) :)
