Show name for my showjumper

Hello!
I have a 148cm/15hh Iron Grey/Brown, Connemara X Mare.

Her name is Tilly, she's rising 7 and i want to compete her BSJA in seniors. Her name means, 'Fiesty in War' Or 'Fighter', which she is. She is also a very weird colour, shes brown in the summer, but she has grey flecks and she changes colours a lot, her face is mainly grey. She's stunning and gets a lot of compliments for her scopey jump and pretty colours. She's slightly crazy, but she is very sweet natured and a charmer. I've had a few ideas put to me, like 'Shades of Grey II', Diva II, Fiesty in War, Tilly SilverLining, Tillywinkle, TilsyTots. She's also very very speedy, very light on her feet and loves her dressage.

Any ideas?

What is her passported name? Isn't that the name she will be registered with for bsja? (I registered Pie recently just for club and rang them to ask - that's what they told me!).

Her passport name is Tilly, but we brought her from BSJA breeders and they told us it can be changed and thats what we need to do.

When I registered mine they said it had to be the name on the passport, might be worth ringing the BS office to check.

It is sometimes possible to change a passport name - but very difficult. You have to do that before you approach BS to register. If she has been registered with BS before - or indeed any affiliated body - then you cannot change the passport name - other than sometimes to add a sponsor prefix or suffix.

Many passport authorities simply don't allow name changes at all - but there are some who do. So your first step would be to contact the passport issuing authority. I'm surprised at a breeder not wanting continued association with an animal they have bred. Most are deeply protective of their breed name and really don't want that removed or tampered with. But there you go.

BSJA asks you register under the name thats passport, unless it is already taken in which case you'll get roman numerals tagged on... From those that I know who have tried, it is rather expensive to register a different name and most people don't bother when they get the cost! No one really listens to the names, there are some really bizarre ones so if I were you I would leave it
