Yes but not real advice. You learn pretty quickly that the only real advice you'll get here is "ask someone in real life"

Is the horse responsive to his stable name and if so,why confuse him by calling him a name he does not identify with.Amymay made the point that you cannot rename the horse on the passport,and as he is a loan horse,you would need to discuss your intentions with the owners.

That's fair enough. But I'm always interested to know about my horses breeding. The last horse I bought was beautifully bred (although I didn't know it until I'd bought him and really studied his passport). It gave me an enormous sense of pride knowing who he was related to, and even more gobsmacked that I'd purchased something of such immense quality.

You may not like the registered name but it is facinating to research your horse's breeding and if its from a good stud it speaks volumes to others even if you think thats daft.

I am hugely proud to own a pony with a silly but prestigeous name
