I was reading a post that someone wouldnt want hairy cow cob on her yard as a livery...now she was prob taking the P

but I saw this as the perfect opportunity to show off the most beautiful "cow cob" in the world...and I challenge anyone to tell me otherwise with a valid reason!
I have Charlie (cob) and a big posh ISH and I would chose Charlie everytime on the fun factor in both character and excitment to ride....if you are lucky enough to have a good cob...they are the best!
Shils.....prepare yourself!!!!

Well .... believe it or not, but I owned a cob once

. I had her for a couple of years and used her as a trail horse. I rode her a few times and she was a nice little mare. Not so nice that I'd have another, mind you

Ok, so he's too big to be a "propper" cob at 16.2hh (and wide) but he's the nicest driving horse as a single. Not a novice ride or drive but brilliant and exciting. He was bred for meat in belgium and someone randomly decided to import him. His back legs leave a little to be desired but he can jump and do dressage as well as his driven duties. I think he has the most handsome face and it a complete cutie.

Ah now draught horses are something else...

I have had 4 Percherons on my yard over here ... crikey they are far worse than cobs!

They cost me a lot of money replacing fencing that they ploughed through - I was VERY glad to see 3 of them leave!

Acctually scrooge is a brabant/boulanaise. Most people class him as a cob due to his continental lack of feather. I think he's a cuddly cob, he doesn't work in chains only harness. I love him whatever people think! Well most of the time.... sometimes....

Here is George - he was advertised as an ISH but he was really a lightweight cob

He was lovely, but sadly he refused to SJ at Intro

so now he is happy living in Shropshire doing CHAPS classes, dressage and going hunting

I cried when I sold him, but his new owners are so lovely... they still e-mail me about him about 2 years later

Oh, how nasty....contaminating my screen with these common cob things - that first one looks strangely familiar
wink.gif
.
I'd never have anything quite so common as a cob or heavy horse...but each to their own....and I guess maybe some of you aren't good enough to ride proper horses?
