Well decided to take one of my girls to a rather nice localish open show, all I have done with her is showing so thought I would give the Pre-Novice Show Jumping a go, only 2 foot and no horrible fillers, well got there in plenty of time, but as you enter the show ground you have to go over a cattlegrid, as I pulled up the drive two little boys were playing in the grid and the youngest one had got stuck, his face was a picture me bearing down on him in a big lorry and him stuck in the grid, bless his dad realised what had happend and came running over, well this little incident took the nerves right away from me. So went off to enter and all that, jumping ring was really nice, plenty of room. Spur (Ex-Flat Racer) warmed up really lovely, no silly bucking and was listening to me, Dad went and paid for me to pop her round the minimus, which she loved, so course was set for us and in we went, Oh God what a little darling, she was so so good,
had 4 faults in the first round, along with alot of others, she hasn't mastered doubles, tends to forget the first part, hence we had that. Well then I was informed I would have to jump off, this horse has just jumped her first round of show jumping, so guess what, was drawn first to go
, went in and she was up for it, pinged round like she had been doing it all her life, but unfortunately 4 faults again, but I wasn't bother, well chuffed that she had jumped and acted like a star. Anyway results came out and I was 5th
, had the biggest grin on my face, 14 in the class and my little girl got placed....... well thats my little report for today.....Also I have to say a big thank you to my Mum and Dad who came with me, my Dad put off flying to come and support me, bless him..............
