As Ned is out of action, I was allowed to take wee Sammy to the show this time :)
It wasn't the show at the yard, but rather within walking distance down the road.

Sammy was so good :) I took him in a veteran class. I didn't think he'd even trot as he's very old and getting lazy but he did! So proud of him. We managed 4th out of 4, but I totally agree with the judges, I was beaten by some stunners who really didn't look their age!

After showing Sammy, I went back and got Viking. I wasn't going to compete him, but rather see how he'd react to a show at a different yard and see if I could pop him over the practice jump. He was a bit fizzy when I first jumped and as you can see, it wasn't graceful!! He did calm down and jump better though :)

Naw, Sammy is a cutie :D

When Viking gets excited and does his dancing thing, try pushing him forwards and letting him canter on rather than trying to shut him down straight away- Al found with Reg when she first got him and he was like that allowing him to go forwards meant she was then in control of the speed rather than them both getting het up...
