We went to a show on Saturday and my daughter took her pony in the Show Hunter class- mainly because there wasnt a lot else to do. She came last out of seven behind a cob who cantered on the wrong leg throughout, a 12.2 who didnt win the little class so went in the 14.2. The judge was on her phone during the judging, and after she gave out the rossettes(only to 6th) wasnt even going to acknowledge my daughter! But we still took the best pony home.![]()
See, this is the sort of thing i mean, what an earth is a cob doing in show hunter??!!!! I forgot to say in mine there was a 14 year on a 14hh pony in the first ridden too, in a gag??? She came below my daughter but she didnt come last. Make sense of that?
Youve got the totally right attitude though you took the best pony home, i wouldnt swap mine for any of the winners, and i was absolutly over the moon with the placings. To us its not all about a red rosette its about my daughter having a good time and seeing improvements to her, just think everybody should abide by the rules then we all have a fair chance!!
