Show Saturday and Wednesday, bath before both?

Or a good groom before the one on weds? The fields are pretty disgusting after all this rain though! Don't want to wash him away though!!

I would probably bath him twice. If you are worried about stripping the oils out of his coat just use water on the second wash and then give him a good groom. My boy gets washed off most days as he is a sweaty betty time he's finished work , but I don't shampoo him as a norm.

What sort of shows and is he grey?

I would probably just groom for Wed and maybe sponge the bad bits. Presumably the Sat show is bigger, so I'd put the real effort into that.

Bath for weds, sponge off for saturday. If you bath then leave a day or two the coat oils make them nice and shiny
