Hi Everyone!

Sooooo.....

I am back in the competition game after years and I basically have no idea what I am doing!

I've bought a grey gelding and I have a brown saddle and black bridle just now. I am going to get some new tack to show in/jump in/x country in etc, but I have no idea of the rules.
Please could someone tell me:
What classes I can do (riddne and in hand)
The etiquette for such classes (what I wear, what the horse wears etc etc).

I'd reeeeeaaaly appreciat it as I'm not sure where to start just now!

Thanks guys!

Brown is correct for showing.

But personally I love black on greys, even in the show ring, brown looked terrible on my grey but ideally just get what ever you feel suits your horse, if its new and it fits I'm sure both will look equally as nice.

if you have a grey that brown looks bad on, black is often accepted if it looks the part

or you can get super duper dark brown so it looks almost black (what I have!

hehe)

You, depends on classes, what would you be doing?

Thanks!!

Unsure of what I'll be doing, hence the 'general' question.
I like showjumping, I ant to try my hand at dressage and showing too though, which I've never done before. Working hunter sounds good too....
He's such a super allrounder the possibilities are endless, which is great but gives me too much choice!!
