We've had a good couple of weeks with Alice (Maya's daughter) so thought i'd share :)

Firstly, she won the Hound Puppy Group and Best Puppy in Show at Treharris show last weekend:

And then yesterday at SWKA Championship Show she won BP and BOB (no tickets) and then went on to get Puppy Group 2 :)

So proud of her as she's my first homebred basenji pup so it makes her wins even more special.

She is very beautiful, well done.
Just out of interest, if the chain isn't digging into her throat does she still stand so tall? I assume not although when you see basenjis around they tend to be 'upright' people, I love them.

Its not a chain :)

And yes, they will free stand fairly well:

Its also not digging into her throat, just held up so she knows to keep still and out of the way so its not distracting hanging down her neck. Its no different to holding any other dog by its collar and certainly not uncomfortable for her :)

Where I use to go to ringcraft classes many years ago, it was run by a couple of men who had basenjis, I always admired them, such lovely dogs

They are a wonderful breed, I couldnt imagine not having one now :)

I dont suppose you remember the names of the two men? Its such a small breed, if they're still involved with basenji's i'd certainly know of them :D
