2009 was a bit of a wash out, as Ru had both overies removed, but we did get to Essex union hunt country day

Wispagold your mare is stunning!!

Thanks :-D I think so too (but I am bias)

Although she was never a rescue case just scruffy...I have so much respect for all those people who have taken on horses who look like RSPCA cases and then managed to turn them around. I can't get over some of the transformations on here. Well done guys!

I want to join in!! So here are my two.....

My warmblood gelding when he first arrived, 2 year 8 month old.

I hope this works! First time trying to post pictures.

This is my loan horse Oli. I've had him for a few months now :) He was just sitting in a field doing almost nothing for the last year.

Not the biggest change, but i can't wait to see how different he is in another few months :D

Awe Thanks SpottyBotty!! :D It's amazing what you can do with a bit of TLC and a tub of pink powder!!

It certainly is. I am the mum of Smallhunter in the earlier post with the big grey. He was on pink powders for quite some time. You really cant tell from the picture just how bad he was.He was so starved it took him ages to eat, he constantly burped and cribbed because of stomach acid where his stomach had shrunk. I had to be so careful what I fed and the amounts. He could barely walk, had overgrown feet with the shoes hanging of. He certainly doesnt do that now., although he does drop weight if he gets stressed. He is excepionally well bred and came back from a showjumping producers yard looking like that. This is when we moved yards in April, the weight literally fell of him, although he is very settled now. I am 5ft 8 by the way :)

OMG Chermar, I can't believe what a state that poor horse was in when you got her, she looks like she wouldn't have survived very long if she hadn't of found you :(. She is gorgeous now! What a lucky girl, Glad you're keeping her :)

Thanks Firewell, she slept for 3 days when we got her home. The first night she ate a little then lay down flat out eyes closed thought she wasn't going to make it even the other horses going past her door didn't waken her, then she was down more than up over the next day or two!! She's so sweet she's one of the happiest horses I have ever owned and she's only 15hh!! A real little lady!!

SpottyBotty!! He's massive!! What height does he stand?? We have a 3YRO that stands at 17.2hh but your baby must be at least 18hh!! He's a real stunner by the way, a real credit to you!! Maybe your big fella would look after our wee Annie!! LOL....:D

There is some debate over that!!:) I measured him in the spring and he was 17.2hh but friends think he is 18hh + . He is 8 now but has only just stopped growing , he is KWPN, his lines are late developers.

This is Bonnie, we first met her when i bought my appaloosa, she was kept on the same yard and took an instant liking to my little sister, who bought her in feb 2009, a sad looking, depressed, nervous little lady looking like this:

HARVEYBONNIE009-1.jpg

After lots of kisses, cuddles, rugs and food..the following July she looked like this:

bonniejune09.jpg

She was a virtually unridable 7yo who reversed at top speed when you got on her, napped, had no idea about schooling aids... although we did find out that she loved to do this:

BONNIEJUMP004.jpg

Which we thought was pretty good going for a 13hh tiddler! So she and my sister worked on their flatwork...which they struggled with, as Bonnie would do anything to evade the contact.. but after some work looked like this:

Bonnieflat.jpg

they also worked on their jumping, and this is where theyre up to now, which started a little like this:
BJump.jpg

And then more recently:

Bonniejump1.jpg

No comments on her hands, she knows theyre too far back, its a learning curve for both of them!

Bonniejump2.jpg

This one was an unexpected jump, she didnt think B was going over :P

She may not be out competing yet but this is a big achievement for us :)
