Shower in horsebox

Just a quick question really... My dad is very kindly fitting out the living area of our new horsebox(new to us that is). Its a T reg Iveco 150bhp; I was wondering how much it affects the value of a box not having a shower- obviously i would love one! We costed it up and think it will be about 800 to have a water heater, shower unit, and make the bathroom waterproof.
All opinions/wisdom welcomed!!
 
most people do like the shower / bathroom facility on a lorry. 800 sems quite expensive for those few items, where did you source the costings from, ? i can give you some numbers for suppliers which will be more competitive.
 
We used about 3 panels of waterproof wood that they use in caravans - that was about £90.

A shower tray - cant remember how much.

A tap that turned into a shower was about £80, and then also a sink in there.

But we already had a pump and water heater in the main bit of living. We used the same pump to run the kitchen sink, human shower and horse shower. The water heater did both the sink and the shower/bathroom sink.

I don't think it really makes that much difference in vaule to the lorry, but if you are going away not using the scummy on site showers is always a bonus - and no queue.

But I do think it is worth having a water heater in the living, so as that is the most expensive thing you might as well add a shower.
 
It was my dad that did the costing so not too sure where he got his figures from but suppliers details would be great!
How much do you think it would cost to fit a standard shower - we are lorry newbies..

you will need a price for Malaga water heater and water pump usually 12V

it depends if you want separate shower facility or one that pulls out of sink.

pull out of sink type is on the tip up basin and you can get the contessa vanity unit to match. this works well with the bench seat type thetford toilet.


Also Prestige Horseboxes have a parts and spares dept Tel: 01772 811737 they are not that expensive either.
