Can anyone give me their opinion on the Showerking or similar, external hot water shower please ?
I'm thinking of moving to a yard with just a cold hose and there's no way my pink and white princess can be washed with cold water (and wouldn't subject him to that either ) so thinking of getting something like this.

What do I need to make it work ?
Am I correct in thinking that when I want to use it, I would wheel it out , connect the cold hose into the unit and off I go? As they're gas powered , presumably no electric is needed?

Thanks in advance.

I had a shower king, I know you can get cheaper generic camping versions. That are probably exactly the same but I didn’t know enough to chance buying one and it being wrong.
I loved it, it was so easy to use all you need is a bottle of gas (I rented the bottle and just got it filled when needed) and you’re good to go. No electric needed. I had it on the wheely trolley thing so I could store it away and you just attach to the hose when I wanted to use it. You can attach them to a wall if you want though.
It was a god send and worth every penny I paid. I think you have to have good water pressure but this wasn’t something I looked into and it worked perfectly. If I could figure it out anyone could lol.

My yard has a gas hot shower (unsure of brand sorry) but yeah it works okay for what its needed for. Its £3 a go which is fair and it lasts a full elephant wash so im happy. Tip though is to get the hose pipes onto the element and leave them forever...have the input long enough that it will reach the tap and the output long enough to reach the horse and don't ever take them off. Then print off a piece of paper with literal idiot proof step by step guides because it is so easy to forget tiny things like turning the gas off because it will automatically stop when the water stops so the gas just happily leaks.

It would just be used by me so I'd need to attach it to the hose every time.

Can I attach the existing hosepipe to it or do I need to get a specific pipe for it?

The connection to the module is just a normal hose "push and click" type thing. It has the longer sticky out part, the hose part has the hole with click part and it goes onto it. We then have the same on the other end of it and just push and click it onto the tap..the tap just needs to have the connection on it and i suspect most yard will have that because they will have a hosepipe.

There is VERY much a more technical way to say all this :p

I think I get it - thanks !
Does the Showerking come with any hoses? And is it possible to use a trolley other than theirs , as they are so pricey ?

I am on my second Showerking. You do need reasonable water pressure, its on an ordinary sack trolley for transport ad it has been brilliant. I did have a problem and the customer service was great. You must follow the instructions to make sure its safe. I would buy again. If your OH is a gas expert no doubt you could rig one up from parts cheaper but if not, play safe

The trolley is just a normal one you get in any hardware shop...but they do have the module connected well.

The pressure seems decent from the hosepipe - is there any way of telling what it roughly is?

Mine doesn't work consistently. I find it infuriating as it's always when I'm going somewhere that it doesn't work and I freeze cleaning with cold water.
I wouldn't recommend

Have you spoken to customer services, they have sorted it out for me. What do you mean 'it doesn't work'?

It doesn't ignite consistently. Originally I thought it was my water pressure, we had issues over the sunner but that has improved and its still rubbish. It was starting after 5 or 6 attempts but recently it hasn't started at all. Unfortunately it is out of warranty by a few months.

Firstly put a new battery in and always turn the unit off when not in use - if you leave it on the battery drains
Does it try to ignite but fails? Or does it do nothing? If it windy it may keep blowing the light out - if you move the unit (or even just turn it round) it will fix the problem

If this fails or doen't apply, call them, they will still give you advice although you are out of warranty
