I have a lovely looking dun gelding. 16 hands connie x tb . He is quite light in frame so not really WH type. So thinking riding horse classes as he has a nice head. So wondering what is the general view on the showing of dun horses in these sort of classes since they always seem to be dominated by greys and Bays? I've not seen many dun horses out showing. Strictly speaking he is a Buckskin. Anyone out there had much success with their dun horses showing? Only looking at local level at the moment. Also what is the correct turnout for us? I only have black tack so will have to use that. Guessing coloured brow band? Any advise very gratefully received!

The horse that won search fora star riding horse section at HOYS last year, less prejudice than a coloured horse

Coloured browband, tweed jacket long boots

Should really be brown tack but I wouldn't worry to much at local level
