I have a weanling who i am taking to a show in the next couple of weeks. I have a filly slip that is too small for her so have been looking at in hand pony bridles but they all seem to have bit attachments. Is there any way this can be adapted or is there something out there that will fit her? Thanks

many filly slips have bit attachments, but they dont need to be used with a bit.

when we showed our yearlings this year we bitted with a light rubber bradoon.

A filly slip is a bit small for her so am having to get a pony sized in hand bridle but wasnt sure if these can be used without a bit? I don't really want to bit her yet, she is only 7 months old.

sounds like she's going to be massive then!

i got a cob sized in hand bridle off ebay for my yearling, it could be used with or without the bit... i'l try and find the link now for you.

Think she will be about 16hh but just with a massive head! Lol. Ok thanks. Don't want to spend a fortune cos think she will grow out of it pretty quickly!

this is the one i bought, and it was fine. i used it with a bit, but it can be used without. cheap and cheerfull... for exactly that reason!

also this seller was extremely helpful- she noticed a small imperfection on the bridle she was going to send me, and so let me know and sent another, along with polos as an apology for the day wait! very very genuine seller.

Just buy a leather lead rope and thread through bit attachments x

Just move the noseband down the the bit area - did it today and it worked - next year will move it back and use a bit.
