Last weekend we accidentally came across a horse show in a village near us, so popped in to have a look. It seemed quite novel to me so I thought I would share some photos

All the horses were tied along a string line suspended beneath the trees which was a good idea for the shade:

But I can't for the life of me see how this would work out through-out the day as there were mares with foals at foot and then stallions a couple of horses down. As you can see visitors were walking around everywhere with buggies, children, lose dogs, etc. so I can only conclude that French horses are loads more better behaved than English ones!!!

There was a tiny foal with this mare but he is bay and lost in his mum's background in the photo unfortunately:

It was some type of breed showing although I couldn't quite make out what classes were available. There seemed to be a lot of weird and wonderful speciments (like the 'dreadlocks' donkey and 'zebra' legs donkey in the photo, loads of minis and some lovely looking Pecherons):

At the same time there were loads of people there for general fun, a lot of families and millions of children running around. There was a wood carving using traditional methods display, a military display which offered tank rides, pony rides and this bizarre real life pony merry go round (kind of an open air walker pony walker ride):

I remember having a shot on the pony merry-go-round when i lived in germany. Was great fun, my little brother on the other hand screamed the whole time he was on the pony
