Showing a welsh sec A

Hi, I've just brought a beautiful little welsh for my daughter to learn to ride on and il also take her to some inhand shows.
I need to buy her a bridle which I want to be good enough for showing, should I get a flat or raised nose and browband?
And is it more correct to show in a white head slip instead?

Slightly raised, flat might be too chunky on a delicate little sec a face. Head slips are for youngsters, aren't they? Remember M&M are always shown unplaited.

I had to gape at a friend who attended a talk about what they're looking for in leadrein classes, she's so competitive!!

Welsh mares are always shown in white halters, regardless of age good luck and where are the pics lol.

For ridden classes you should have a flat hunter type noseband, obviously not to thick.If the pony is a mare or under 4yrs then you can use a white halter for in-hand showing.

Our section A looked silly with a hunter type noseband, she looked much better in a plain raised type. We never did more than local showing though.

She's 8yrs old so il have to use a bridle. She has a very small head so a smaller raised one would look better, but if I do do county level with her one day I'd rather have the correct tack from the start to save me buying it again.

If you are going to show her in hand she will need a white halter.
