Hi

Need to get my youngster out this year. He is three and unbroken. He is registered palamino. How do I show him please? thanks

A palomino allows you to enter colour classes but you can also enter type or registry classes.

What is he? Height, type & breeding?

he is about 15.3, british sports horse, welsh d x dutch warmblood. He is registered with the palamino society. I would like to know if he needs plaiting and trimming or he should be shown in his natural state and if he needs to wear a bridle or halter and also what I should be wearing please. I haven't done any showing before and dont want to look like a complete newbie even though I will be! thanks

He should be shown in a bridle i think. Depending on his build you may also be able to enter in hand hunter or ridden horse classes. At his age you can also enter him in youngstock classes.

Depends on his build and would be better to see pics so to advise whether he should be plaited or not. However if you put him into the inhand hunter or riding horse he would have to be plaited.

Hope that makes sense :-)

If YOU join the society as a member (as I said in my earlier post ) you will get a lot of advice from them for exactly the questions you are asking :)

To answer tho:
Yes, plait & trim
Yes, put him in a bridle
You need to be in jacket, tie shirt with tie & boots. Trousers in darker colour. Hat and gloves and carrying a show cane.
