Showing and shoes

I know that ROR insist on shoes all round for ridden classes, do all other showing societies have the same rule? Can you show unshod for other classes, particularly those with a ridden judge? Thanks

Don't know about the societies, but I know at least one judge (M&M) who prefers to see ponies shod

I’m assuming you have an ex-racehorse? If so they don’t need to be shod to do the seib hoys series.

It’s now not mandatory in bsha clases (so that would include the rising star racehorse to show horse) and shb(gb) riding horses (shb hunters still need shoes).

Primarily the Racehorse challenge class with ROR- weird that ROR is still clinging on to the rule when other series aren’t
