I have a 16.1hh Warmblood X Arab who has done mainly show-jumping and dressage to date. However I would love to have a go at some local showing....the only problem is, I haven't done any properly ( I'm not going to take it seriously, just for something different to try and a bit of fun!) so I would be really grateful of some advice.
I have a green/brown tweed jacket with navy velvet collar, a navy velvet hat, light blue shirt, dark red tie, beige jodhpurs, dark brown gloves and dark brown long boots (I am 18). She has brown tack with a brown pelham bridle and double reins. I don't have a straight cut saddle as I'm not going to show seriously - but do I need a coloured browband or a plain browband? And do I need to wear spurs? Also, the most important question, what classes should I enter with a Warmblood X Arab?! :o

Many thanks :):D

Your outfit sounds fine.
Normally would be black long boots with garter straps and spurs. But brown would be ok for a local bit if fun show.
If your horse doesn't need spurs you can always wear dummy spurs.
The Pelham with double reins is a good compromise if your horse doesn't wear a double as strictly speaking a double is the correct bits to show in.
As for class & browband it's difficult without seeing your horse.
If she is not as workmanlike as a hunter maybe she is a riding horse stamp and would therefore wear a coloured browband.
However if it is more workmanlike you would be looking at a hunter stamp (light middle or heavyweight) no coloured browband. Have you got any pics?
