So the showing season has started and I have been out of competing for quite some time.
I took my mare to her first show at the start of May and we did quite well. It was good to be back in the game :)
I am looking for some inspiration from you lovely lot! This is my first time showing a coloured, and since you show to type there is always a huge amount of various outfits, which can confuse a mind like mine. Any tips/tricks/advice is welcomed :)
I am in need of a new jacket as well, so I am open to suggestions.

First thing I would do for you is to get you a shirt and jacket that fit a lot better.
I'd possibly go for a coloured shirt, maybe blue or canary, If you don't want a coloured shirt then go for a cream shirt as the white appears to be washing you out.
As you are on a horse a nice darkish green tweed with a subtle over stripe would look best IMO avoid anny coloured piping (yours appears to have some white/silver piping round the collar)
Navy hat and if you have velvet on thee collar of your jacket then it should be navy.
Hair should be in a bun and in a net with no stray hairs poking out.
I'd ensure your horses forelock plait sits flat rather than stick up and take a good 6" off the length of the tail.
I'd also swap the full cheek for either a D ring or egbutt snaffle.

Haha ye, that jacket was from when i was bigger. I def need a new one and really like the dark tweeds :) The shirt is a shires cream shirt (it just seems pale).

The hat is navy, it just looks black :)

It was flatter, but she rubbed it and pulled it upwards, no amount of help was going to make a change! :P She carried her tail ridiculously high as well (shes a PBA) so if i cut it shorter it looks awful!

Thank you :)
