Hoping to get my youngster out a few more times this year. Have just been looking at a schedule for a local one that looks good with lots of different classes etc. The classes I’m interested in run one after the other but in different rings - do you just take the chance that they will run to/from a specific time, or can it be abit tricky? I imagine it depends a lot on the size of classes too. This is where I get myself in a muddle!
Most of the shows I’ve done have been all in the same ring so hasn’t been a worry if a class finishes earlier or later than presumed.
I’ll pop a photo below. I’m hoping to do the youngstock, odd coloured (and then the warmbloods) but it’s the youngstock to the odd coloured that could conflict.
Wing it and enter both or pick one?

I help run a small local riding club and will always be flexible about coming in late or leaving early if we can be, but obviously can't keep a ring full of people waiting for ages! We try to avoid likely clashes, but it isn't possible to predict every combination of classes that competitors want to do, so organising schedules is a bit of a guessing game.

I’ve done it before but it is stressful. With a youngster I’d be concentrating on have a calm unhurried experience. By all means speak to the show organisers but unless a class has a “not starting before time” then It’s anyone’s guess what time it will start.

There are likely to be more in the in hand cob class than the young stock so you should have time to go across. Speak to the steward ,or get your helper to , to tell them you'll be coming from the other class.

Yeah I can’t imagine how long it takes to get schedules sorted! Hats off to show organisers!

This is what I’m hoping. I’ll hold off entering for now, and maybe check entries first if possible to gauge an idea!
