Hi all sorry if these questions are really thick but this year i would really like to do some showing classes on my horse nothing really major but just the local show, which to be honest are quite big ones

I just want to no what sort of riding are you expected to do i.e just stand there? walk around trot or canter?

What are the differnt showing classes that i could do and what are they about?

Does your horse have to be fully plated up or can he have his tail pulled?

Any help would be great.

It really depends on what sort of breed/type/age/build/what he enjoys doing, to what classes you enter.

Hi is 14year old TB X, is 17h and when he has put abit more weight on i would say very much hunter type horse.

He has very good paces quite flashy he used to do alot of showing with his old owners and will work in a double bridle.

He is ok at jumping but does get excited.

Hope that can help

well you could do ridden hunters, working hunters (you can get novice classes at some shows) even a ridden horse or something if low key shows.

you would need to plait up for all the above classes as he is a TB, and would really be able to walk, trot, canter all together and then do a quick idividual show showing w, t, c on each rein, for the WH you would also be expected to go round a course of rustic fences (which would normally be around 3ft at local level)

hope this helps and someone please correct me if im wrong
