I am going to have a go at some showing. Riding horse, coloured and maybe working hunter. It's only local so will I be marked down for riding in a snaffle. My horse does a good show and is very well behaved so think he will do well. He goes so nicely in his snaffle but don't want to lose marks for the bridle. I have a Pelham with double reins I can use but wanted some advice.

No, I don't think you will at local level at least- if you moved up to county, it would probably matter more. Better for him to go really well in a snaffle than going just 'ok' in a double IMO.
