The girl who part loans my horse is going to show it this season. Will be doing ridden cob, veteran and poss working cob. Shes 15, what boots will she need?

Whilst AA is right, what does she have? Al wears her brown boots and gaiters and it doesn't stand out even at county level.

Am I right in thinking its boots & gaiters for 16+? If thats the case then I'll tell her mum to get them. I imagine she'll only be doing local shows this season.... dont want to be throwing her into the deep end!

Proper black long leather boots with garter straps - none of these fancy dressage topped rounded ones.
For local you can get away with boots and gaiters but I personally don't like the look of them.

Tall black boots. A lot of the younger riders and indeed many of the older ones now too (see Louise Bell) wear spanish cut tops, but the traditional look is straight cut tops with garter straps.
