I need some tips on how to teach my 3 year old not to be scared of the Judge in the ring. Took her to the South Suffolk last week end and she did a fantastic trot up and the Judge even comented how fantastic her paces were. (we actually had control this year so already 100% improvement on last year.) However she wouldn't stand up for the judge to look at her. I do a lot of training at home and when i walk her out, practising standing in different situations and she does it perfectly. My next step is to get my YO to dress in a long rain coat and walk around her to get her used to this as it's strange people/ people she doesn't know that she's scared of, but anyother tips would be appreciated...

This is a pic of her at the show last week.

We have made part of Donovans training ffor him to stand still with OH - who is his handler in shows, and me walking around him, looking from each side etc etc as would happen in a show. It takes a bit of patience, but he is so much better with it now.

I do this with my YO and her OH, she's fine with people she knows, its strangers she's scared of. Problem is she knows most of my horsey friends as they tend to groom for me at shows.

Anyone else got some good tips? We're aiming for the Suffolk so the more help I get now the better chance we have of Doing a better show....

My intention was to do that but unfortunately my lorry is off the road at the minute so having to hire one for the show, so am trying to find some tips for things i can do at home. We're out in the middle of nowhere so not even possible to walk her somewhere busy unfortunately... :(
